Be Impeccable with Your Word

I’m reading “THE FOUR AGREEMENTS” or A practical Guide to Personal Freedom by Don Miguel Ruiz. According to him, his first ‘agreement’ is Be Impeccable with Your Word. He equates the ‘word’ with GOD.

What got my attention though, was page 27th.  He says “Some years ago one man in Germany, by the use of the word: led a whole country into a world war. He convinced people to commit the most atrocious acts of violence by activating their fear.

Now just who have you hear lately doing just this?  Who might say something like this : Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it.

or

All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach.

The GOP front runner?

“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending the best. They’re not sending you, they’re sending people that have lots of problems and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. … And some, I assume, are good people.”

Oops, did I give it away??  Soooo, Presidential…..

“Laziness is a trait in the blacks. … Black guys counting my money! I hate it.”

“If I were running ‘The View,’ I’d fire Rosie [O’Donnell]. I mean, I’d look her right in that fat, ugly face of hers, I’d say, ‘Rosie, you’re fired.'”

Said without facts to back it up:

“Hillary Clinton was the worst Secretary of State in the history of the United States. There’s never been a Secretary of State so bad as Hillary. The world blew up around us. We lost everything, including all relationships. There wasn’t one good thing that came out of that administration or her being Secretary of State.”

Fact: Clinton was an influential secretary of state and a savvy manager with a clear agenda that, at least in part, she translated into policy. So how did it all work out?

The answer: Historians will probably consider Clinton significantly more successful than run-of-the-mill secretaries of state such as James G. Blaine or the long-serving Cordell Hull, but don’t expect to see her on a pedestal with Dean Acheson or John Quincy Adams anytime soon. Clinton brought a clear vision of U.S. interests and power to the job, and future presidents and secretaries of state will find many of her ideas essential.

“Free trade is terrible. Free trade can be wonderful if you have smart people. But we have stupid people [in office].”

and a big one:

“When you had the World Trade Center go, people were put into planes – that were friends, family, girlfriends – and they were sent back for the most part to Saudi Arabia. They knew what was going on. They went home and they wanted to watch their boyfriends on television.”

The first time Trump made this claim, he used “wives” instead of “girlfriends,” but, since the media has pointed out almost all of the 19 terrorists were unmarried, he has now adapted to “girlfriends.”

Either way he is wrong— the hijackers had largely cut off contact with their families, and none had “friends, family, girlfriends” in the United States who were “put into planes” back to “Saudi Arabia.”

Trump is selling fear, portraying all Muslims as gleeful about Western deaths (as if Muslims are not Westerners) so the American people will become afraid, and vote Donald Trump into office, the one and only person who can save us and make America great again (remind me when that “again” was?).

Truly?? “I am being proven right about massive vaccinations — the doctors lied. Save our children and their future.” Twitter, 2014

He talks like a 4th grader but thinks: “Sorry losers and haters, but my IQ is one of the highest — and you all know it! Please don’t feel so stupid or insecure; it’s not your fault.” Twitter, 2013

This all makes me so tired 😦   and there’s ANOTHER GOP ‘argument” going on tonight….which, yeah, I’ll watch some of….cause most of it is not new it’s just them spewing out hate and fear and lies again….

The businessman said he’d cut military spending, but still make the armed forces more powerful

‘I’m gonna build a military that’s gonna be much stronger than it is right now,’ The Donald said. ‘It’s gonna be so strong, nobody’s gonna mess with us. But you know what? We can do it for a lot less.’

Well, I looked and looked and guess what…he never says how he would build the military and do it for less.  Check out the following images:

Where our revenues come from ( note 11% Corporate…poor companies)revenue_pie,__2015_enacted

But look now at expenditures, with over half now spent on the Military.  So how much more do you want to spend for ‘defense’ or (killing people in other countries)?

I’m thinking we need a whole lot more information and we do need to cut the amount spent on ‘defense’ but still make it more effective and efficient.
